Last Day of The Month....

Today is exam day. I have learned a lot in 4 days. I am glad that I am not in school everyday. Back to work tomorrow.{sigh}

I have not done any training the last couple days. Things just didn't work out where I could. I will today. I am so glad this month is Finally over.

I don't have access to a pool. so I was thinking,Maybe we can head to the beach once a week and I can do water running that way. Kids will love to go. I will figure it out.

I did not have to slow down for any of this, I was nearly at a real slow jog!!!! :)

Study ,Train,Study

Class went well. It got boring towards the end. It was like a refresher class. Some have never work in a hospital or medical environment. It was kinda funny. I know its not but it's a dummy,you are not going to hurt it. :)

I worked out yesterday in the gym for 2 hours. I feel it today. Since I must study,I won't be in the gym today but outside doing my 3.5 miles.

My sports medicine doctor said less weight more reps.Specially the arms. Some of the motion I use a lot at work some I do not and I can tell.He also does not want me to go over 100 pounds on the legs yet.He also said no running.I can work up to the pace speed walking to keep my time in the 2 hour range. I am to young for new knees then I can't do any of this if I have hardware. :( I told him I would train in a chair.:) {i am hard headed} Burn more fat first.{rolling eyes} I have some weak points there too I have to work on. Next month I go to my regular doctor and take in all my readings from the garmin and that way they can keep track of the heart. My heart is healthy, no worries.She just wants to make sure I am not over doing it.

We all are doing this without the aid of medicine,or surgery.I see the people come in and have the surgery for the by pass. It is not the easy way out. Nope. I tell our story to them when I am at work and I give them a card. :)

Mgreene, I want to say thank you for all the advice,and the offer. I am going to try. Do you think you could make it down to the half??? That would be awesome. Anything else I could do????

Is This Month Going To End?????

I have listen to AATM, and the most of Disney world trivia. They went over the marathon weekend.I was listening while at the gym. I must say,I can not wait to be able to run through the castle on Main Street.
I have done the TOT 13k,Couple of Local 5k's.We have some more local runs we are going to do.

I am up to 47.01 miles for this month. I am still working on the 3.5 miles. I am going to add more speed.I have not done any long runs lately and I know I should be doing one per week. I will not be able to till this weekend.

I start a class tonight,And as normal work calls and wants me to come in. Not on the first day of class.When I ask for it I can't get it,but when I need to be off they want me at work. :(

This month has seemed like it has lasted way longer than normal.I am in a hurry to get on with the rest of this year. :)

Team Voice news. I was asked to retell the story of Team Voice over in the Disney World Trivia forums,and maybe offer out to have everyone sponsor a runner in the half next year. Since all the money raised is going to the Dream Team. Ideas???

The shirts for Team Voice E wants to make them out of the material that the work out shirts are made of.I will also put it out there on cafe press.

!@*&?!@!!

Good Sunday morning!

Yesterday was a pretty good day.Other than having to go food shopping.I hate dealing with the general public.Here they are so rude. We were not hurrying,since the store was packed. Everyone else was rushing around and grabbing whatever.Not looking at what they were selecting for choices. And the rather extreme pooh size were out. I was watching a couple of them since they were not rushing and just seeing what they were choosing. So as we were all in one row kinda looking at the same thing.I looked at E and said this product has hidden ingredients,and MSG,and this will cause high blood pressure and stuff like that, They were listening. They were listening so well that they put that crap back and chose the better product. After that I noticed that it caused them to look at the ingredients. The power of suggestion. :)

After we got home we did something different than we normally do. We prepped all the meals. We separated everything, and if we had planned to marrinate it we did it. And weighed the serving out,so it will make tracking the points much easier.

Now Team Voice news. First I have to say this .....
Someone has been on the forums over at AATM and posted and commented with x rated pictures this morning. In No Way is This related to Team Voice. That is not our views,or thoughts. Someone is trying to bring down our family fun forums and Team Voice.

This is a rough draft of the Logo.It is photo shop being cleaned up .
This is going to be the basic logo. The one for the race shirts will have the 09 up on top.The 0 will be on the left top and the 9 will be on the right top. Road cone orange shirts and reflective lettering. Under the logo for the front of the shirt it will say Many Goals One Voice. And then for the back it will be the logo and it will say Friends and Family of Marathon Team and have everyone's logo's under that. Well what do you think??? For the Minnie I am going to have a big heart behind the logo, and names of everyone I know that is suffering from heart disease on the back. If you have a name you want to add to my shirt let me know, I will add it.

No training yesterday I has a house full of teenage girls and they were not going to sweat. I will sweat today.
MGreene, E said All I have to do is shave off a half hour and I will meet your one time you listed. Then E asked me how bad do I want it??? That made me think.I will try real hard. I like a good challenge. :)

I am Back !!!!!

I know I haven't been blogging a lot lately.I have been busy with work,and kids. I will be taking a class next week as well.

Minnie Marathon weekend.They are running specials for those of us who are running in the race with the all stars resorts. Must call magical gatherings to get the rates. The 5k in for Go red,heart disease. And the 15k is women's awareness. It's all for the American hear assoc. It holds a close place in my heart since enlarged hearts run in my family.My Mom has CHF, and so does someone else I know and I hope all is well. I am making our shirts with the Team Voice Logo on it.In Red. Then I am going to put the names of those dear to me that have a heart disease,and those who have left us do to heart disease. I got my Mother to come to this!!! She will get to see us in the races!!! I can't wait to go!!! I am the only person in my entire family to do any of this.That is why it is so important to do the half and then do the Goofy.And get faster.Did you know if you finish in the top three of you age group you get invited back to run??Yes that means you do not pay the dues.

I know I am very late on posting the logo. I had to wipe the computer clean so there is no logo in the computer right now.E has to put it back in and then I can up load it. That is why I have not been on the Internet. Now that the problems have been solved I promise to get it up.

Points for yesterday was 30.
exercise I did the precor for 30 minutes and did the intervals and I did 2.07 miles and finally got my heart rate up to 132.I had to increase my Resistance some. I haven't been very consistant with the weights. My miles are up to 42.84 for the month.

Ok today is Friday and I am posting my weight.Here it is 210 pounds.
DO you know that is a total of Ten Pounds for one month!!!!!!!
I have never lost that much in one month. I guess with the Team Voice support is helping!!!! I took a picture of me at the beginning of Jan. Then I will do it again in Feb. Tomorrow we will be taking pictures of us in the gym. So you can see us and what we are using.

Happy Unbirthday to All

Good day!
I have a house full of teen boys. FJ and his friends.they brought an x box over. What a best game system. I like to play video games.I was up with them playing.they thought that was cool.

We haven't done this in a while. Good behavior reeps good rewards.next weekend is the girls! Oh the drama!

I had a walking group last night. It was cool. Not a one of them could keep up with me! Now they all want to train. That's funny.FJ shown them his medal and told them about all the training they remember since he could hang out cause of that.

Yesterday points 30. Day before 27. I peek at the scale this morning,happy with what I saw! I was goign to wait till Friday but I just had to peek. I will post the results on Friday!

I am up to 39 and change for miles. I will get the total and post it on the boards. There was no gym yesterday due to holiday. I have to go today.
I saw on the forums that there is a section for a Team Voice song, I was thinking of form Hercules go the distance. Check it out. I will go over and list it.
I want to give Deb a shout out she did 3 miles running with out stopping. No walking breaks. I am so proud of you !!! Keep Moving Forward!!!

Oh yes before I go, E and I both made a decision last night that we both will do the Goofy in 2010.

A little This A Little That

I know I have not blogged in a few days.it is a pain in the you know what on the blackberry.

My meal choices have been on track. 22 points for yesterday and 30 for the day before.
I have been training. I did this new type of ellipitcal.it is called the precor crossramp.it works the quads,hamstrings,calfs.I did the hill program,I did cross resistance from 4 to 10,and resistance of 1 to 8. I was on it for a half hour, and I did 2.07 miles,calorie burn of 323, hour of 125 to 132. I was sore on Saturday but it was a good sore.I will go do that one more. It worked the muscles I normally complain about.

Then last night I did 1.70 miles. I was so tired from work that is all I could do. I did it in 29 minutes.

My miles are now 39.84 so far.
We are looking at doing a 10K next month.then a 5k on south beach.
Hopefully we will be back online in a few days!

This is my 200th post.

We did the 3.5 miles and I didn't have to slow down and walk a normal pace to catch my breath.
I bet I had a good time too,but I didn't hit the right button so I do not know what my time is!

Just To Say Hi

I have the link for registering for the races listed in my favorites.
The same for the Minnie Marathon Weekend. Remember this is the last one for the Minnie and you will not be able to get your Minnie Medal if you do not run in them. :)

With the cost of the races so high I may not register the kids.Small person said she will go mow yards and collect cans to pay for hers. {she wants it} FJ well he wants to run but not putting any effort out there.Jb maybe you can help light a fire under his feet. :)

How is everyone doing with the mileage challenge?? I know that JB is blowing us all out of the water but I am working up to giving you a run on mileage. :)

What A Weekend

We are back!!!!!
First I have to get this out of the way!!!

This is where we ended up parking at Animal Kingdom. {how ironic is that}

Look what we saw!! Yup Jonathan it is a Giraffe!!!! HAHAHAHA :){grinning from ear to ear}

Ok Marathon news.
Byron did the 5k on Friday and he did not get swept!!!!! Awesome job!!!! keep that chin up!
We got up late,so we did not get to see our Team Voice members through the castle. :( ,We missed Byran finishing by minutes. He did great!!! 2:07!!!!!


Do you see the Donald around his neck???? It is awesome!!!!

Here is Lou and his wife!!! OH LOU.... they did it in 2:51
and Mike Scopa did it in 3:30. I do not have Kate's time, she finished 20-25 minutes before Lou.
They all did so well!!!!! I am so proud of them all!!!!! They all received the Donald medal.


It is huge!!! Heavy!! And everyone wore them proud!!!!!

We were so tired and exhausted after dinner we went to check in our hotel and crashed. We did not get to see the start of the full marathon, but we did get to see the last 2 runners come in.
I am so proud of them!!!! I did not get to talk to them like I wanted too, but here they are....



See her time?? She didn't quit!!! She kept moving forward.

Here is the official last runner of the full marathon.See her time!!! Guess what she finished!!!! And she DID get her medal,and she kept moving forward. 26.2 miles.And this is what they received....


Here it is with the Goofy.That is what you get when you sign up and finish the 2 races,plus the Mickey, and Donald.

This gentleman did both of the race and recommends that we all put more time in training.I do not want to say his time and get it wrong,I will update it later. You are awesome, great job!!!!

This runner was her first Half.Again I do not want to post the wrong time.I will update it later.

I was also told it was a lot of fun and to carry a camera there are a lot of photo ops on the course and all the high fives from the characters and people pulling over giving them all shout outs!!! They all said the same thing just have fun,and they will be doing this race again.

I am going to push everyone here.I am going to push myself.And I have to say if you get down or want to quit say so that is what we are all about.Sticking together.Helping each other through this year to get where everyone here is.Next year is our turn and we are going to do it right!!!! so what do you say Team.........

Back To The World!!!


Here we are the evening before the 1/2M. Can you just imagine what everyone is thinking??? I will not be able to sleep If I were there. Now we should get there just after the race starts,and will they let us in??? Specially at the MK for pictures??? I will be mad if they do not. I will find out and I will update after the race.

Can you believe the kids do not want to go???? Are you kidding me????

Did another 3.5 at 51:13. Not bad maintained that number. No training tonight.We are leaving the house at 3A. I am so excited!!!!

Happy Birthday Hunny!!!


Today is E's birthday. :) Tonight we are going to dinner at Borders. What he doesn't know is that some of his friends are coming. :) And then Saturday at Liberty Tree .... well it's in Disney's hands at that point.{hint}

Last night we added another .5 to our walking.And I did it in 51:12:96. We wasted a minute trying to figure out the rest of the mileage.The kids had a hard time keeping up with me too. :) That was the best.I told them if they don't start taking training more serious that I will not put them in any more races. Little miss corn corn didn't like me saying that.
Frogger jogger well has put on a couple pounds and I have cut him out of his snacking. Then he is up in the early hours eating.How do I stop this?? This time I have made available more fruit,and if they want ant sweets they have to actually make them and that stop the sweet attack. I had to call his school to to stop rewarding him with candy. They did.He goes to the gym too now. He read that JB is doing sit ups and push ups at home and he did some last night. Thank you!!!!
The EKG class I was going to be taking next week has been changed to the 28th!!! I don't know if I can get that time off.I already have the time for next week. I will talk to my boss tomorrow. :*

I have been working on getting us ready to leave to head out to WDW Saturday.I can't wait!!!! I have been packing our food.I do not want to have to worry about points. The only time that will come into play is at the Liberty Tree. Watching the weather, it may be cool in the morning hours and warm up and rain. The weather here it just a pain in the you know what!!!. Sunday morning I plan on getting up and doing a brisk walk before heading out to the parks.

cp1999 is leaving on Friday.Sorry that we are going to miss you!! If you go to come back to the Kingdom say so and we can meet up with you!!! Thank you for the Team Voice slogan.

Take Notice....

I have a couple of things I need to say.

I am just shocked at how this Team Voice has taken off.I am just over whelmed. It strikes a cord down inside and I just keep moving forward.Because of Team Voice is the reason why I have not quit.
Now we have a member out there that is need of good vibes. A lot of them. Please go over and say Hi to the Phat Disney Geek. He is down and needs some encouragement.He is going to be in the 5k this Friday at WDW. We can't be there,to cheer him on but we will be there in spirit.

The Last 2 Days


I have done any training the last 2 days.My cold had got the best of me. And work just wore me out.I work in Endo., and and the ER., yesterday and they are busy departments.I was on my feet non stop.didn't get to eat til 2p, and then I didn't get lunch til 4p.In the Er they had me do transport.Come on, really don't you think I am a tad over qualified for that?? I know they were putting some where to make hours but really.
I am off for the next three days and one of them is E's birthday.He knows we are going to dinner,but he doesn't know that his friends are coming.And he doesn't know about project surprise on Saturday!!!! {there goes the points on saturday} :)

Snow Flurries in Mid Florida

Let me address this real quick. It is suppose to be 26.2 miles not 24.1.Just a dumb error on my part.(thanks Mgreene} :) Team Voice 26.2 not 24.1 miles for the month.

My Mother sent me a message today letting me know that they were having snow flurries today.As soon as it hit the ground it was gone.She said she hasn't seen that since 1975?? here. It was down right cold here,and blustery,and cloudy, rainy,sunny.

So here we are just down to the week almost before the Marathon weekend.I am having such a hard time finding a room.So I will start looking off site. It's for only one night.Leave out of here Saturday real early and get there by the time the race starts.

I almost have all the pictures down loaded from Mouse Fest. I have up the rockin mouse meet,pod fest,the Osbourne lights, and some of the Beaches and cream meet. Look under Rae's Photos.

Training: last night just 1 mile,it was to darn cold and windy I just could get past the 1 mile.

Bike: random hills,level 5, 20 minutes, 4.98 miles,hr 125-130, cal 225,
elliptical: 20 minutes,hills plus,level 5,hr 128- 130, cal 260, 1.45 miles.
Ab. machine 80 pounds,125 times
Abdominal 25lbs,75 times.
and I will sit in my room and use the thigh master for some arms,and thighs.

Team Voice Challenge #1 for 2008



This month is the Disney's Marathon Weekend. So in honor of all those who are members of Team Voice that are running in the races this month,let's set a mileage goal of 24.1. This will be easy for some of us,and for some this will be a challenge of a life time. We all have to the end of the month to log in the mileage.

Oh yes if you make the mileage goal before the end of the month Keep Moving Forward!!!
Log it all. If you need support,tell us we all are here for each other and you will get support.And don't worry if one day is better than another that's fine,that is what training is all about.

age 30 something...
Just started Weight Watchers
Member of Planet Fitness
pants size 16-18.
Races finished:heart walk 5k 3/06,07, tower of terror 13k,Christmas 5k.
Speed Walker,not running.
My pace right now is 15:28 per mile.

No room for a snack. Let me say I was counting earlier in the week and realized my points were running 42-46 a day. This is hard and the body is screaming for more but I am fighting it and drinking a lot of water.

3 miles in 47:13 the wind was gusting up to 15 mph!!!!

Happy 2008

It has been a few days and I must say that the computer has been a problem and then using the blackberry is some times a pain.

Happy New Year! What did you do yesterday? Me I worked and spent the time at home with the family and back to work today.


We have been walking 2 and 2.5 miles since we have been home.we got 2 miles in last night before all the fireworks went crazy in the neighborhood.

I have been counting points. Let me say I have been going over to about 42 points and not knowing it. So I have been rethinking my meals.

I have to take a class this month and try to get up to WDW for the marathon to support Team Voices first members. Running this year.

I don't know if Jonathan is announcing the first challenge for Team Voice this month. I will find out and post on it later.

Today we will speed walk 3 miles. Can't go to the gym they close early today. Not sure if we are going to make the 5k this month or not.2 miles last night in 36 minutes. That was just a fast walk.
