Last Day Of The Month.....

Well It was a sunny/rainy day here.But nice.
Tomorrow I have an appointment in the am with the doctor.I can't wait so we can get a handle on my insides.Nothing to eat or drink after midnight.So I am finishing up on drinking my water,and a glass of OJ.

Kate I had breakfast today.That ole bad habit was trying to come back and I nipped it in the butt with a little help. :)

Meals:
B: yogurt,toast with peanut butter,glass OJ, 1/2 c cheese.
S: 1/2 of mixed nuts
D: chicken sausage,with sun dried tomato,and basil,brown rice,broccoli,garlic bread.

Training:
Running week #2{ i went back to week #2}
6, 90 second runs, then I added in another one and did 31 minutes,1.94 miles. It was hard, since i have not done that in two weeks,but I did it.Cal 286. That was my last effort for this month.
And I drank a half of a power aide. E rode the bike tonight random hills,20 minutes,7.55.Oh yes I stretched before we left the house,stretched there,and when I am done here.

So the total mileage for the month is....
Me 58.23 miles
E 62.97 miles

Well I am going to work hard and try really hard not to get anymore injuries.I am going to try to get my endurance up this month get the weight down some more,and work on getting stronger.I can do it. :)

Shopping For A Resort

So far today I have been looking for a resort to stay at in October for the TOT race.All Stars is looking good,then there is Buena Vista Suites,one bedroom,with 2 beds and king sleeper sofa.we all sure wouldn't be crowded on each other.That one is on the east side of DTD.Then there is another one that is off site completely Country Inn Suites. So we are looking around.

E has to get confirmation if he is going to have 10/26 off,so I can purchase the MNSSHP tickets.

Then I want to surprise my MoM and take her to Super Soap weekend.Just me and her.I took her in 2005 and she had so much fun.She got the see and meet her 2 favorite soap actor and actress.She has an illness that is well....Let's just say I want to take her every year as long as she is able to go. :)

Sunday The New

Today was a nice day even if I had to work today.

Bathroom project has begun.The cabinet is out and one wall all the tile has came down.The house is a mess. I can't wait till we get it done.Out of the 70's.

E is updating his my space.I have to get the URL so I can add his page.

Monday I am going to try running again.Got to get back on track.Only 89 days to go.I am so excited!!!!!

Cleaning Out The Old....

Today we are working as a team in our house and getting it cleaned up.Plus getting rid of the old.
These are the questions that I ask everyone in the house including me.

Have you used it in the last 6 months?
Have you wore it in the last 6 months?
Is it to small?Is it to big?
Are you ever going to use it again?

If you answer no to the questions, then you need to get rid of it.It is now clutter.
Why? We have to make room for the new room and no sense in taking the clutter to the new room.Plus the clutter on the patio that is just there is going too.Yard sale.

Then I plan on using that money to send all the running shoes,uniforms that my daughter has collected to send to Hope Runs.Read the article in Runner's World.She took to it and I am... no we are supporting here.I have some other plans I am doing for this.Once in a while I get involved.

Training today

TM ,speed walking 3.7, 1 mile in 17.45.That's all my calf muscle would go before it started to hurt.
Bike random hills,15 minutes,4.95 miles. Not bad.

Claire not a problem if I can help any time,just let me know.I like to help all children. :)

Last Friday Of The Month

Well here we are and it is the last Friday of the month.In about 24 days my kids will be headed back to school.Both excited.I sure can't wait.

No pain today.Not even sitting.I can lay on my back.Poof the pain was gone. :) I go for a physical next Wednesday.I don't have high blood pressure,I am concerned with my labs more than anything.

I am going to go to the gym here shortly.I don't expect E to go since he went back to work last night and didn't get home til 1a.And he got up and went in this morning.

At work they are doing a walk log for the month.They are promoting fitness and trying to see what department walks more.I told them I have nearly 50 mile in for this month.I asked if that would count ?They said yes.I told them what I was doing,and why and they said it would count. So I still have to get some miles in to beat my last month mileage.But I don't think I will be able to.I am going to try.

I need new running shoes.My shoes soles on the heels are falling off.I am going to try to get another pair of the ones I have.I like them a lot.




See why I need a new pair of running shoes??LOL :)

Today Is My Friday.

I woke up tired today.I went to bed at a early time for me.But still I woke up tired and sore.Over all it was a good day at work and here at home it was quiet.Someone here was being very nice for their nasty behavior yesterday.

No training today.Just not in it today.Tired.

Can you believe it,me in a park with no Mickey???Well I had on my Disney shirt, shorts,Mickey socks and shoes.everyone keep telling me I was in the wrong park or asking me to change my shirt. :)

I so can't wait till October.I have been trying since May to get reservations with Chef Mickey.I will keep trying someone will cancel.{I hope}

Next Saturday they will be putting our roof on!!!!!!!FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are trying to plan not to be here since that is they only weekend day off I have.Not complaining.

What a busy day at work today.I drove to work and had no pain until the drive home.
Then I find out while I am at work my teenager is out running the streets while E and I are at work .And he feels that he shouldn't be punished.Then he uses fowl language.Hello who does he think he is talking too??? I have ran out of things to help him. :0
Any advice anyone has I sure will listen.And to top it all off he refuses to do his share of chores. :(

What happened??Did I go home to the wrong house???No .....I checked the address on the house.....wait better yet... an alien took over my kid.

Slow Day

Today was a nice day.I had some pain in the back today.I believe it is from going to the gym.So I took it easy today.I have a real hard time sitting for long periods of time.So I will find out how I do driving tomorrow since I haven't drove in a week.

Training:
elliptical: 20 min.,fat burn,1.36 miles,258 cal.,abdominal 8 set of 25,25lbs.I dropped off ten.
E ran in 30 minutes 2.52 miles at 7.0.He wasn't in to it today.

Meals:
B: Glass of chocolate milk.
L: chicken,broccoli and potatoes,ice tea.
D: a Baker Its a baked potato with turkey and stuff on it.ice tea

We did some of our shopping today too.Got it out of the way.I got hit with a cart twice and man I thought I was going to the ground.But I didn't.

Back In The Gym

I went to the gym today.I did the elliptical and I did 20 minutes,on the fat burner program.I thought it would make me sore but it didn't.I did 1.32 miles ,cal 157.That's almost my walking pace.

I have to get my endurance back up we have a 5k coming up in August.I need to get moving,But not to hurt myself.I just do not understand why I get injured so much.well sometimes I do,I do push a little.But we all do.
We will be getting our roof here in the next two weeks.We have been waiting since Hurricane Wilma.Also we will be closing in the back patio,and I hope new carpet done too.

You've Got Mail :)

Today was a nice day even if I had to go to work today.I was busy and and met some really nice people that I will mention later.The pain is getting better and we walked around the block and that was a 1/2 mile.:) Here I come.If I have to walk the TOT race I will.I am determined to do this.:)

The project name is You Got Mail :) This is for the U.S.A. ground troupes.What they do is send Blank greeting cards to the soldiers and the soldiers can fill them out and send them to there loved ones here at home in the U.S.A. I am asking everyone to join in and help send cards.You should here the stories.If you want to help,please email me and I will give you an address to send your blank cards too.They have been sending up to 1000 card per month.They want the funny ones,they don't have to cost a lot,no sentimental ones.

So what do you say?? Help make someone smile.

Congratulations!!!!

Jonathan!!!You have been working really hard and Look at you now.You have lost weight and made friends,you're eating healthy.and you are going to be sending a child to Disney real soon.I am glad to be apart of this and also grateful to all those who have helped and stuck it out.

What YA Gonna DO...When They Come For You...

Good Morning !!!!!I feel so much better today.Not a 100% but close.I think some of it was the meds. she gave me.I slept last night after all the excitement.Today we are going to go see Transformers.I am going to try to sit through it.We are going to sit in the back so if I need to stand up I won't stand in anyone's way.

Last night was exciting around here.The local PD had set up a check point out on the main road and the people were trying not to get caught up in it would turn down our street.And there was a set of police that were waiting on those people.In one hour they towed 5 cars.And this one guy got real nasty with them and they did not give him a chance.They had there guns drawn and everything.Right in our front yard.All the neighbors were out watching.This other guy wasn't nasty and he worked with the police and they let him go but kept the car cause it was stolen and it was matching the decryption of a car in a hit and run.All out in our front yard.

Today I am going to go to the gym and try the elliptical.even if it is for a few minutes I am so bored!!!!.

Rough Day

I didn't sleep well,I have had a rough day.Sitting is just nearly out of the question anymore.My left side is sore from sitting on that side the most.Or lying on it.Then the meds gave me a nasty headache that wouldn't go away .So I took some Advil and that helped.I am not taking anymore of that medicine.

I don't know how I am going to sleep tonight.I am suppose to work on Sunday,but at this rate I do not see that happening.And the class I was going to take next,I asked to be pushed into the August class.I don't think I will be able to concentrate very well.

NO walking no more than What I had to do around the house.Standing is the easy thing to do.I did a lot of that today.

Doctor Update

OK well it's nothing to serious.{Thank goodness}I have inflammation on the sciatic nerve node.At the end of that nerve.It just hasn't reached the nerve yet.So She gave me a script for an anti inflammatory. I told her to that I had lost some mileage running and she said it could have started then,and I just aggravated enough to act up.So for the next 2 weeks walking only.The sciatic nerve has always bothered me from time to time.I am glad that is all it is.So I can cross train just no running.I can do that. :)
And I have to go back for a lab workup to see if my thyroid is running slow,she said I should have lost at the least 25-30 lbs since Jan. of this year.So we shall see. :)

Doctor's again......

The calf is much better,it just felt like a really sore charlie horse pain.

Yesterday around 5p at work I noticed a small annoying pain in my lower back,{end of tail bone}the only time I would feel it is when I would lean against the wall or if I was sitting.By the end of my shift I could not sit down w/o pain.Standing no problem.So the drive home was just the worse ever.I have a stick shift and I could not sit at an angle.My cell phone is dead,{doesn't work anymore dead}no good so I couldn't call E to come and get me. I drove slow and got home.I can't sit at the dinning room table,I can't sit on the couch,I can only lay on my left side,w/o pain.Oh yeah and stand w/o pain.

So off to the doctor's again. :( That is later this afternoon. They gave me a hard time about not coming in to work today but all I can do is stand not sit,I told them I am not coming in. Well the only chair I can just sit in is {you won't believe this } computer chair.I can't sit back Only up right.Well that's better than laying in bed or standing around all day. It just sounds funny.

Pain In The Calf

The tittle says it all.My left calf muscle.Feels like a charlie horse from you know here.

We ran tonight.#3 again. I slowed down to make sure I wasn't wearing myself out before I could get started.1.77 miles tonight.then I tried to add and extra minute not mile, and then it started to hurt.{sigh}So I slowed down to a crawl 2.5 and finished my 30 minutes calories 253. E may have a shin splint on his left leg, miles 2.00.We didn't do anything new.The only thing that is different,is the other half of gym is open to the elements and is was hotter in there than outside tonight.They are remodeling,this has been going on for almost a year now.

Meals:
B: none slept til noon
L: mashed potatoes,ice tea
D: salad,1/2 scoop of red potato salad,1/2 scoop of noodle and ham salad,2 muffins, c of mac and cheese,strawberry/lemonade ,lemon mouse. {oh yeah and a bowl of ice cream.}

Work tomorrow,If I don't hurt to much in the morning.Is it not in the stars for me to do this??{rolling the eyes} I will be riding the bike tomorrow.Cross training till it gets better.I am enrolled to take a class next week. M-Thurs. 6-10p.Can't wait. :) I am just frustrated.Dusting myself off and I am still plugging forward.I have been slacking,it was six days since the last time I rode the bike before yesterday.Look under Lardathon,it tells all. :)

Well I made it to the gym tonight after work.As soon as I got home I put on my gym clothes and that was half the battle.I started to fall asleep and E said not tonight get up and let's get in the gym.Once we got there And I was in the gym I did just fine.

A Little Honesty

Well here I am with some doubt today.I didn't do well training today.I didn't do anything these last few days.We did the running program today and I couldn't run today.My muscles were hurting,my legs still sore from work yesterday,and some of the weather.I made it through the first 90 second run and and three minute run and I couldn't do anymore.My legs gave out.I just walked for 30 minutes and realized that I have been slacking.I am not going to make up any excuse why,no sense in it.I haven't been riding the bike this week,no random hills,or light weights.Just running.My body decided to tell me that it doesn't like that.

So on that note that means I have to get back into what I was doing before.No excuses.It's hard to go on the days I work since I am on my feet 12 hours,then go to the gym.I have to get back into it.

Friday The 13th.

Here it is at the end of the week again.Slowly we are getting closer to the TOT race.That's all of us in that picture.And I had a good training run last night.We did the #3 program and I did it a lot better than I thought I would.I thought I was going to slow down or have to stop mid way,nope I did it all the way.1.91 miles.26 minutes of the program and I was speed walking the rest of the way to 30 minutes.But this is all on the TM. Not outside.

Now I have to find me some sporting wear that will hold me together and keep myself from hitting myself in the face.Sounds funny but it is a necessity.We have a local running shop we are going to go check out. OH yeah I have noticed that the TM I use at the gym,calorie count is off.On Runner's World under the training tool I have been filling in my time and it says that I burned 332 in stead of 293.Who is right?

I can't jump rope it hurts the knees to much,And I sure do not want to injure them.

Lazy Today

No post yesterday,or gym by the time I got home I was just exhausted.Work was so busy,plus having a trainee.Let me say she is just going to make a very good nurse.

I want to say thank you to everyone.I appreciate it .:)
I was up at 9Am,but i just couldn't get out of bed today till 11:30a. It's sunny out but it is also thundering and lightening out.GO figure.

I can do most of all my classes on line.The reading ,math,and other assignments.But the actual class is Mon.-Fri. 7:30-3:15p. That's a problem. I have a year to figure it out.I work 3 days at 12 hours shifts.I don't think I can cut back to part time and work 2 days. I will have to ask the Boss about that.The class for this fall is already full. If I was able to get in to the class this year I would not be able to do the tower of terror race.:( I hope it will not get in the way of the 09 1/2 M.That would just not set well with me at all. :( I will find out as time get closer.

Well we ran tonight and we progressed to #3.Two runs at 90 seconds,two walks at 90 seconds,two runs at 3 minutes and to walks at 3 minutes.That is only 26 minutes,so I did my speed walking to a full 30 minutes,speed at 3.6-3.7 { got faster} so miles tonight for me are 1.91.with the cool down 2.02.calories 293.E did speed 7.5,30 minutes,2.43 miles,calories 553.

Training today will be running.Still week #2. I am almost up to a full 2 miles.That's not counting the warm up or cool down.In 30 minutes. And the best part is that I am still injury free!!!!

I thought of my sign off line back at the beginning when I first started in October 06. E is my inspiration.He has supported me since then and he trains with me.And that is what makes it fun.I have been told from people in my past that told me that I couldn't do this.So I train hard.I plan on showing them all when I have the medal in my hand from finishing the TOT 13k and a picture at the finish line.I want to stay injury free, I tore a muscle back in April,slipped and fell in October and had knee surgery.My Ortho.doctor doesn't really want me running,speed walking as long as I can keep pace.Well I just have to do this.And it is at one of my favorite places I love to be at with my family.

Quick Update

Ok my son is starting to feel better.Now he is hungry.Oh boy...... he's back to normal.{Almost}

Long Night........

What a night we had last night.My son was yelling at 2a. I jumped out of bed and found him in the bathroom hugging the toilet.Something he ate or got in to just did not agree with him.This went on till 6a.I called in to work to see if they could cancel me instead of calling out and having it count against me.I was able to be canceled.I know he is dehydrated,still upset tummy,so I am forcing him to drink water and some Gatorade so he won't get worse. :(

So here I am with nothing to do at the moment.I will go to the gym later as long as he is feeling better.Today will be light weights and bikes.

As we are getting closer to the TOT race.Kate ,joggerblogger and I have been trying to plan to meet up the next day to have lunch.I do believe the night before is a MNSSHP and we plan on going to that.Not sure if we are going to dress up due to it will still be hot here,and humid.And I do believe that my parents are going to come to see us do the race.My Dad is not a big Disney fan,so this is a start.This will be my first major race and I am glad that he wants to be there.

Sunday Sunny

Hi!!!

Here is the link to the 5k.http://www.gflrrc.org/races/apps/kickOff5K.html Its through the local running group here.Yes it is hot and very humid here and it starts at 7 am.Sounds like fun.It's in one of the real shady parks here.As we get closer I will post more and Take some pictures o f the park.

NO walking yesterday As I posted.We did walk about 2 miles yesterday but since we did not keep track I won't count it.We ended up watching the Nascar race out of Daytona Bch.I weighed myself this morning and I am down another whole pound!!!!!!I guess I have finally made it past the Plateau I was on.I sure hope so. :- )

My daughter cooked breakfast this morning.She made pancakes.Not bad at all.

L:1/4 c cheese and pepperoni
D:grilled turkey burgers,Au gratin potatoes,and garlic bread sticks,glass of milk

Training:
Running #2 this is suppose to be the last day of this part of the program and E says I should do it again.Week #3 goes like this,5 min walk,90 second run ,90 second walk,3 minutes run,2 minutes walk,and repeats to total 18 minutes.

Today I was better.30 minutes,incline .5,speed 4.5-4.6,1.95 miles,cal 290.
E,30 minutes,incline 0,speed 7.5,2.52 miles, cal554.

No Topic

Well today was a nice day off.We went out and spent the day just having fun.

A great big congratulations to Jonathan and Amber on their new niece.She is beautiful.Go check her out on his blog.

I have to take a picture of the cows here to show there location.{Hi Jogblog}

No gym today,but here shortly we are going to go out and walk our 4 mile walk that we did when I injured myself.Starting out slow this time and next time we will put some pace to it.We have to walk it twice to do the 8 miles like the TOT run.This will be a first. And we have found a local run/walk 5k on 8/11,we are going to do.I will post more about it. I should be close to done with the running program that I am doing by then.

B: turkey omelets,yogurt,OJ.
L: chicken sandwich,fries and ice tea.Brownie
D:Small pasta bowl,with organic butter{earth balance},fresh parm.

Slept In

Today I slept in.11a to be honest.Later I will be doing my week 2 in my running program.

Meals:
L: smoothie
S: cheese
D:turkey pasta salad,with peas,ice tea
S:pop ice

Training:
running tonight,program #2 my total mile are 1.91,4.5-4.2 speed,cal 284.I had to slow down on the last 2 runs I wasn't breathing right,so I slowed down to finish the program.E total was 2.10 miles,speed 7.5,cal.512.These totals are not counting the cool down.

I will fill it in later.


This is one of the transportation cards .There are 18 in total.

This is the easy one to find.The buses and boats are the hardest to find.I don't have any of the boats yet.I have 7-18 and card 1,2,4.Those are buses.

Well Another nice day.Worked and came home and I started to fall asleep and the next thing I know I was told to get up and let's get to the gym.So off we went and here is what was done.

Training Today #1

Well today was the last day on week one of my running program.I did 2.00 miles today.I ran at the pace of 4.6 {much faster} cal.253,incline .5.I am going to post E's time and mileage as well.He ran the program with me today {normally he just runs the whole time}.E did 30 min.,0 incline,2.51 miles,at the pace of 5.5 to 7.5.He said when he would get in to a good pace it was time to slow down so E increased speed.

The next program is six 90 second runs and 2 minute walks.I will be starting that on Tuesday.Tomorrow after work will be bikes and light weight w/o.

Meals:
Hot tea
B: potatoes,eggs,OJ,
L: ice cream
D: smoked turkey,steamed potatoes,and veggies.Ice tea.

I know ice cream isn't lunch but it was good!!! I will give an official weigh in number in a couple of days.Right now would be the wrong time.

First Of The Month.

Happy July 1st!!!Today is my daughter's 13th birthday.We had a sleep over and now the masses are thinning out.We stayed up til 2am and played DDR.That is Dance Dance Revolution.It's not as hard as it looks.The kids were impressed that we would even want to play.I grew up playing video games,and we play once in a while.

The last couple of days have been though.Work has been hard lately and I get home and just pass out and I sleep til morning.That's why I haven't blogged.

I hope everyone is doing good and I will read everyone's blogs later today since I have a few kids here still.

Training well I didn't go to the gym and I have been doing a lot of walking but no official time of how much.

Meal s I have been good.I had some potato chips and dip, but other wise I made fruit platters and thee kids made dinner.Today breakfast is potatoes eggs and fruit.Lots of h2o and ice tea of course. Chat later!!!
