I Can't Stand Waiting.....

What a day. A day of nothing. Well at least I thought.

I went to go get a cup of ice, and I noticed there was no ice,and my water bottles for training were melting. And the frozen yogurt was soup. The freezer wasn't freezing. OH NO!!!!!! The fan in the freezer quit working. So when E got home he took it apart and fixed the fan. {whew}

I went over to my dearest friends house. She is on bed rest. :( For the next 6 weeks. She is so bored. And it hasn't been a week yet. So when we leave next week, some of the other girls are going to sit with her.

Training, I did one hour on the hill program. I think I have it figured out. Miles were 3.05. And I did set a of my ab.circuit. My trainer is making a workout program for me while we are gone. One for outside and one for in the gym. My gym is only 9 miles away.
I am thinking that since Jb is going to be here, and he gets up in the early am to put in miles that this my be a good thing for me. This my help me to get use to getting up early and getting out there.Hey putting in miles in Disney World?? Sweet!!! I want to try some of the other running areas there.

Ya know when Jonathan says 12 weeks till the race, that sounds way shorter than 81 days. Say it and if you don't get excited when you do, ummm are you ok??

I put in for the entire week off before the race. I want to be in the World with EVERYONE!! This doesn't happen everyday, and I don't want to miss any of it. And if this happens, FJ will be working the entire marathon weekend. So he would be coming with me.He will earn his first park ticket!!! Sweet!!!

The picture above is the Mickey you see before going into the Kingdom. He is made out of pumpkins. Is that cool or what? Oh yeah in the Bakery on Main Street they have mini pumkins for the kids to color. So the kids colored some and waiting to see if they are there next week.

Can You Feel It? It's Coming!

I was so excited about the race I forgot to post my weight loss dropped another 2.

Training yesterday I did a hill program for 30 mintues and then I ran for 10 mintues. In the evening we went out and did another 2.65 miles. So the total for the day was 5 miles.

We are putting the final plans on next week. Getting my training plan to take with me to the world.

Then I have to put the final plans on Jan. 09 !!

Still haven't received the sample of the shirt yet. I will send them an e mail.

Keep up the great work Team!

Getting Ready

Its 4:00a and we are getting ready to go to the race. I am nervous and I have butterflies in the tummy. No rain, its nice out.
My Dad came too. That's why I am nervous. I will update

Ok it is now 6a and FJ is going to be handing out medals to the runners. He has a cool shirt and a chief's hat!! We are lining up at the 13 min. Group.
Riding the bus from epcot we got to see some of the arches for the holiday bridge!
They are playing 80's music.
Taking lots of pics.
Can you tell I am super excited?!
I got emotional thinking of what is to come. All of us here in line up!
Iwe are wearing our AATM shirts.
Ok going to hit the potty again.
See all of you at the finish line!

We finished! 1:29:22.
Crowded for a while. About mile 4 or 5 my left calf muscle became real tight. I had to slow down. It was humid after the sun came up and I was having a hard time with my breathing.
The first runner across the line did it in 35 mintues! Holy cats! FJ is still volunteering, he ended up punching holes in the arm bands! He is doing great!
Well the net big race is the Half! I can't believe it!

I know I need to do more long distance running, and hills and incline. The road ramps are tough.

When ran into a runner who saw our shirts and said they low the show!

Sorness

"Your toughness is made up of equal parts persistence and experience. You don't so much outrun your opponents as outlast and outsmart them, and the toughest opponent of all is the one inside your head."

JOE HENDERSON

I am re posting this quote.

Here I am middle of the week. I am suppose to put in another 5k today at pace. Then low cardio the rest of the week and the ab. circuit my trainer also gave me. My abs are sore today. 4 more days. I am still having knee pain. My trainer told me to stop doing the yoga. I may have caused the pain from doing the yoga. Who knew. The pain is at it's worse when I sit for a long period of time. It's the arthritis that is in there.

I have noticed that all of us are having trouble with with food lately. I am too. First I wasn't making my calories, now I am going over. By 50 calories. Which is my over allowance. And we are going to the World, and All the wonderful food from the food and wine fest..... OMGosh!!!! I have a food bible. The calorie king. It helps since I am counting calories.

Alright everyone, keep moving forward!!!!

I am Super Excited

"Your toughness is made up of equal parts persistence and experience. You don't so much outrun your opponents as outlast and outsmart them, and the toughest opponent of all is the one inside your head."

JOE HENDERSON

Today was pretty good. I did low intensity cardio in the gym. One hour actually. I worked E's but off. :)

I have been dealing with knee pain since Saturday. My bad knee. The left one. I think the arthritis is acting up. We had 2 days of straight rain. I haven't had any problems with it in 3 years. I think the weight loss has some to do with it. So I have been icing it down and I have elevated it, and I wear my brace.

Last night out putting in miles, anything that could go wrong went wrong.Really. I wore my fanny pack with my water bottle, and long sleeve shirt around my waist in case it is cool in the early morning.We started out good, then my shorts were meeting in the middle. They didn't want to stay up or down. Then my hair would not stay up in the hair tie,my ipod was rubbing my arm raw, and to make things worse, My shorts ripped!!! hahaha So I walked the rest of the way home. I didn't want to rub my self raw since the race is this weekend. {ugh]{BTW I don't do the races with my ipod}

Shirt news:
The shirts are going to be ready by Nov.1. I will be getting a sample copy in the mail by the end of the week. Some of you have not paid for your shirts. You are going to owe me. I am doing it all out of pocket.I will post the sample as soon as I get it.

This month has a couple of mile stones for me. First this month is 2 years I have been on this journey to the half. Since I was injured to do it in 2008.And my one year on the awful TOT 13k. The race I hit the wall in.I was sick the entire night after the race. I was wheeled to the car in a wheel chair. The Minnie was my first long race since then. I did a couple of 5k's. And All I could do was worry. The Minnie was my longest race ever too. 9.1 miles. This 10k should be a breeze. I am shooting for 1:10- 1:15 for time. I have done it here at home. And the crazy part is I am going to be slow running this race!!!! My first actual run. Not walking. I am super excited.

What To Do

Finally!

I have been trying to post since the last one. And it finally let me in!

Team Voice I am not sure what I am going to do with the challenges. I didn't submit one since I was sick and no one would understand me. And then no one submitted answers for the challenge.

I will be ordering the shirts after I get back from The Race for The Taste 10k next Sunday.
Speaking of the race. We have been back out training. Tuesday we did dreadmill hill sprints, and cardio. Then outside and did a 5k in 40:24 and then again the next day in 39:56. Then it rained all day yesterday. I am hoping I can get one mor 5k in and do all cardio this week. My trainer my think different.

I dropped another 3 pounds. 31 pounds lost since June.

Any ideas what to do with our challenges?

19 days and counting.....
