Hurricane Run

Well what a blustery day today. It is nice, between the feeder bands form the hurricane. We finally got a break today and we headed out to do the 6.1 miles.

Today was also weigh in for me. I lost the 2 I gained from my cycle, and drop one pound. So the total for this month is 9 pounds. 191. I can not believe it. None of my clothes fit. None. I look like I am a walking bagging person. I refuse to buy new clothes just yet.

Today is also a high calorie day. I have a hard time making these days.

So now it is 7:30 p and we head out the door. It is windy as you know what. Overcast, no rain. I did 13 minute miles. by 4.1 mile my time was 52 minutes. I shaved off 5 minutes since my last 4.1 miles, and 6.1 was 1:21, and then it started to sprinkle. WE had to walk against the wind. And it was blowing at 12-15 mph. By the time we got back to the house my legs and arms were shaking, and my shoulders are stiff. 6.84 mile in 1:31:19. Sweet!!! My best long distance in a while. Next week I will add a mile. And we beat the down pour in.

Next week E will be going out of town to his parents. He is going to the Richmond evening race with his Family. Me I will be at work. I will have to figure out how to do my long run without my support. my daughter has been going with us. She wants to do the 10k too. So for 5 days I will have no E. I have a feeling that his Niece will send him home for her "My Natalie". :)

So to end this month, I didn't make the miles for the challenge. I came close though and no picture from me.We shall see what the winner picks for the next theme.

The statement above says it all. I am dreaming about what it is going to feel like when I approach the castle,I know I will be a emotional wreck, and I don't want to. But all this hard work, is to make it to the castle, and run down Main Street. Oh the smells. The fresh waffle bowls being made, the coffee smells from the Bakery, and the Confections Corner baking the rice treats. And the people cheering everyone on. Can you see it? Can you smell it?? I sure can!!!!

Team Voice shirt news:
Here is where we are at. I am getting everyone's shirt sizes. The cool max shirts. Short sleeves, and they are going to be yellow. I Am putting the Black Team Voice logo on the front with the 09 ears. And on the back is the team Voice Disclaimer. The disclaimer is on the right hand side of the screen,under Team Voice. ----->
Now Once I receive everyone's sizes I will submit the order.And then I will know how much the shirts will cost. Again I am not making a dime off of this,I am doing this for the Team.Also I am ordering 2 shirts so I can have one to wear after the the race. So everyone knows who I am!!! Loud and Proud!!!!!



Since Dis friends are closing in October I will be going over to Face book. I will post the link once I get it up and transferring the pictures too.

Have all of you verified your Half Marathon information?? On the web site they are asking all the runner to do that. In the right hand side of the screen under favorite places the link is there. ----->

As far as I know there are no crazy challenge pictures so, how will we judge this?? I will pick the next theme and and challenge tittle, or we can let the challenge roll over an extra week??

Inspired...

Today we are sitting making plans on what Disney races we are going to volunteer at. Yes volunteer. I am doing to mostly for the kids. They can gain the hours they need, and earn park tickets. And be apart of something bigger. Our first race is going to be I believe Mt. Everest. Waiting to hear if they need help there. Kids are excited about it.

I circuit trained last night. It was raining so no outside. So far today looks kinda unsure for outside so that means I will have to get on the ole dreadmill. UGH...

I have also been looking into joining a running group here. They do a lot and they could help unleash the madness in FJ. He won't listen to me, so maybe he will do better with someone else. FJ is fast. Maybe than can tell me about the Olympic training for him. :)


Did you see the Dis Friends will be closing down in October? Yep so now what will all of do?? :(

OK I am getting excited here. I have 6 weeks of training to do before the Race For The Taste 10k. My interval sprints are getting faster. I am up to doing them at 6.5 speed. I found out that doing the stair climber, that my knees have become stronger.My out side jogging/ wogging is getting faster. October will be 2 years I have been working at this.

I still can not see myself doing the 26.2. And I want to.
If you asked me 2 years ago about running 5k I would have fell over laughing. Wow how much change I have done, and now seeing the results of my hard work just makes me want to keep going. I have to conquer the 13.1 first which I feel confident I will do just fine. I got my confidence back after doing the Minnie 15k.

I would love to have my trainer there in Jan.09'. I really would. My Dad is going to be there. I can't wait!!! :) And Team Voice members are too. I can't wait to put names and faces together, and see those who I haven't seen since Mouse Fest!!!

Sun Shine, and Mickey Drops

No Doom and gloom today.
Sunday was still just work, But it was way better. My Mom wants to be apart of the races we do. And she found away to do it.She is going to be a Sports Enthusiast. She is going to volunteer at the races we do. We found out the kids can do it to, and use it for high school. And they all can earn tickets!!! I think the first one is going to be the race for the taste, unless they all plan on being in it.

Doom and Gloom

This was one of those days I should have got back in my bed and stayed there. No instead I take it head on.
Got up this morning to weigh in. I was in shock. Kind of. +2 pounds. I always gain just before my cycle starts. Then my Mickey mouse shaped tea ball was missing. Are you kidding me!?!? I didn't get a hot cup of Earl Grey this morning :(. FJ found it or he was going to live in the dog house. I leave here. get in the highway, and it is blocked from a accident.They were routing us to the west bound highway. I have to go to the east coast. I was late to work. Then I was floated. TO the ER not so bad. 20 minutes later we had a code. :( Nope that one went to heaven. :(

My hand starts acting up. Later I get accused of dumping a patient in a bed and not telling anyone. Me?!? NOT IN A MILLION YEARS!!!!!! They wrote the wrong room number. I did my job right. Well needless to say, they made a big deal over it.SO I am hoping I do not get wrote up. I did my job. I even went to check the chart!!! :( :( Then they send me home early, I think because of the crap they pulled. Now I am emotionally drained. I want to go do 2 miles. But I am afraid if I go outside today I will fall and hurt myself. SO I am not doing anything but blogging and going to watch Dan in Real Life. And try this again tomorrow. Maybe they we cancel me. Census is low in the hospital.
Always is the week before a holiday.Specially this one, then season starts, and no chance for being canceled till we close.
Jonathan you are going to have to over come the triggers. And work through the hard part of dealing with the food. I am here to help, always.
So off to my movie and hot tea.

Ca Chow! UPDATED

Worked yesterday. Man I was beat. I was dressed to go do my sprints. I fell asleep before I could get my shoes on.
So I have to do double today. Sprints and outside time. Then I will not be in the gym this weekend since I have to work. :( So I will be putting outside time in weather permitting of course. I will update later.

Tomorrow is the Men's marathon. Tivo will be recording it for me. I love my Tivo.

I want to give a shout out to our newest member of Team Voice. Donna K. On the boards chidis. She is enrolled for the half marathon 09, and she is doing the Everest Challenge. Welcome!!!

Did you see the Retreat package Disney is offering the runners?? I got it in the Endurance e letter. Kate did that last year. And she like it. I may enroll E and I to do that too. ChEAR is the other thing they are doing. I believe that is how you are going to track the runners in 09.

Oh yes I forgot.. Wednesday I did 4.46 miles in ready for it...... I am soooo proud of myself!!!!! Ready.... I was in a groove... moving like the wind...wishing I could move like the Women's Olympics marathon winner!! Ready... . one hour and fifty three minutes!!! Holy Cats!!! My daughter was having a hard time keeping up with me!! And the winds were blowing at least 10 knots. The time is off of my Garmin. E thinks it is off, but I calibrated it. So I posted my miles on the boards and I have to add those oops!! lol
The blackberry issues are corrected and I am back in action!!

My new work schedule is a lot more training friendly too!! Thanks!!!

I did my circuit training workout and I put in 4.46 miles tonight and did it in 57:56!!! My best time yet!!!
Correction to above as pointed out by mgreene, my time was one hour, and fifty three seconds not minutes. Thanks for pointing that out!!!! Weigh in in the morning before work!!!!!

What The .....

HI form Windy South Fl.

We weathered the storm just fine.Now we are alert for it to make a u turn and come back!! Holy Cats!!!

Today was the first day of school. My son's bus didn't show up. I had to take him to school. and then I also find out,they want to move him from a high school diploma to a special diploma?! What!? I do not think so. I have worked hard to keep him in school.To get them to understand I said," Forest Gump" is going to finish high school.UGH!!!!

Did you see the triathlon ?? I did. WOW!!!!! I am waiting to see the mens marathon.And did you see them cheat our girl out of a gold?? But they let a tie in wrestling?? grrr...

Yesterday was a rest day. I have been sore from the circuit training.But I keep going. I may get some outside time in today.

I am not getting my messages on my blackberry. Nothing, not even e-mails!! I am so sorry for not keeping in touch.I am waiting for them to correct this problem. I even missed a meeting today!!!! :(

Little Black Rain Cloud Updated

Well here i am sitting listening to the noaa. www.noaa.gov. And watching this storm. It is raining. And it has been since 5am, and has not stopped. Go to the web site and you can see the storm,raining on my area. It is going to be a hurricane by the next update at 11a. They say it is headed west,but it really looks more like it is coming to us.
I have a bucket outside to see how full it gets.And no school!!!

So no outside time.I have been doing the circuit training,man my legs are sore. My inner thighs are screaming!! I was reading the boards and I saw that Deb has ran her longest run yet!!! That is so awesome!!!! I am so proud of you!!!

I have been so occupied with this storm I haven't done my pirate picture yet. I will though. I sat up and saw clips of the womens marathon. 26.2 miles in 2:26!!! I can't wait to see the men go.

We watch the WWE summer Slam last night!!! Undertaker is back!!!!! :)
Saturday was weigh in again, and I dropped another 3 pounds. I am almost in the 180's!!!!

so I am sitting here watching the weather, and reading blogs catching up on the show.

We just had a tornado pass through kinda close but we couldn't see it. We went to the gym and I did my sprints. miles 3.22. E did the 5k loop and did it in 33:32. He is worried everyone think he is slacking. And E is down another pants size too.Mt thigh are really sore. I was doing the sprints at 6.2. then a light jog at 4.6. The radar is showing a break coming soon maybe I can get 2 outside miles in.

Won't Fix It?

I have been so busy lately. Getting kids ready for school on Monday. Agoping for supplies, school uniforms, hair cuts, schedules man!!
I did not get to do my sprints last night. I was exhausted. So I have to do double the work tonight after work.
Then I have to get up and put my miles in.
I am trying to figure out what to put on for a pirate picture.
I tired to get my daughters clarinet fix. Well they would not repair it. To old. So I had to get her a newer one. She is worried she won't sound right. She sounds great! I have been helping her with her all state music for try outs. Man!!

I am soooo glad to be home. I have worked the last three days all over the place at work. My arms are a bit sore from pushing stretchers and on my feet. Man. I took yesterday off, and today. Cornfest 5k Tie Ups Updated


Hey everyone!
I have been stuck in traffic and lay overs!
It sounds like everyone had a blast! I am missing out!
We will be arriving soon and I have my daughter with me. She is taking E's place. He had some corny issues so he was unable to attend.
I have about an hour drive yet and we will be out hitting the corn fields!
I will update as soon as we cross the corn silk line!!

Holy Sweet Corn!!!!

This race is 85% full!!!


Yesterday was a pretty good day.

I was able to put in some miles. And in the day light! It was hot as you know what but I still did it. It was 98'. I did some running sprints while I was out too. Towards the end it became really hard but I made it. We we walking/running into the wind to. I did 4.46 miles in 1:02. My 5k time was 42.0.Love the Garmin. I ran in each mile. Next time I will catch my breathe and then run again, till I get it right. I have too, the 10k is coming. My goal is to try really hard to run it, and the big goal is to do it in 1 hour. I have alot of work to do.
Workout today is the circuit from the trainer, some of it is in the gym. I was thinking if I can, I would try to get in another 2 miles.
And then tomorrow is the Corn fest!!! I will have to put my 5k in after work. I will be tired but I will get it done.

Here is what I had yesterday. I had a late start and I ended up eating late. We have been getting into a routine walking our new puppy around the block. I have to work the next three days in a row. :( And I have to suck it up and make sure I get some kind of miles in too. I know I will be dragging butt, and trying to use every excuse in the book, but I have to do it. I want to get a good time.

Arggghhh Ye Maties

Here we are another day. And a day off. Man I have been working myself lately. Got to pay for all my races coming up ,hotel rooms ands all that.

I am on my new work out from my trainer.She has it set up a bit different than before. But it isn't bad. I have to learn some of the new exercises. Like a squat Jack. I am to do this work three times a week and one day a week is all cardio workout she sent to me.

Plus I have to get back outside and work on my miles for the 10k. I am going to be running the most of it. But it is storming right now, and I am waiting for to to stop.No dread mill today.



My food intake is every three hours{like clock work}and I am at a daily intake of 1300 daily. Some days I can not make it and others I go over. I do not go over to much, Allowed 50 over. I have to say it is not hard to eat out and keep track either. And man I have learned that the food portions are like 3 times the normal serving size.

So how is everyone doing with the new challenge?? :)

Team Voice Challenge for August

Hi Ya all!
Man what is going on out there?? No more training? You all stopping? Knock knock on the screen. Here is the new challenge. With some help it has a twist on it. This post will be a bit long but explaining it and getting it started.

For the next 5 months all the challenges are going to be themed.and then the month will need a title.
There are also going to be 2 trivia questions that have to be answered. And monthly mileage,and a crazy challenge. If all is completed you will win a prize that matches the theme,then you the winner will get to choose the next theme, and give it a creative title, then your name will be entred into a drawing for a grand prize in Jan. 09.
Here is the catch.the catch is to win you will need to have a picture of you doing the crazy challenge.without it you can't win. There will be a prize for the most creative challenge picture.I will announce it on the AATM and in October I will announce the Grand prize.

Mileage:
I am basing the mileage off of the where we all were from June. 150 for expert runners, and 75 for the beginners.running, walking, wog, jog. Not counting cross training.

This if going to sound crazy, and silly, but hey we are Disney people right? So...

Something, anything pirates,you Must wear some type of pirate attire in one of your runs! Must have a picture of you in it running!

Loosing and Travel

Hey Team Voice!!!

So what did you think of my Team Voice Finish Line?? It was Deb's idea. :)
we are traveling back from North Florida. We picked up my Mom and her goodies and bringing her back with us. SO I use my BB for a modem for internet. Sweet!!!

Ok I am working out the small touches on the challenge for this month. And with a little help from a couple of other team voicers it's coming together. I will try to finish it tonight and get it up and out there.

With all the traveling we have done today I have not done any exercises today. and I looked at the calendar and it says today was a rest day.So that works out.

Food is going pretty good.

Today was my weigh in day. So since we got up early to head out to get my Mom, I weighed in early too. Got on the scale and I looked down and I had to take a second look. Then I ran out to the kitchen and grab E. I said to him come quick and take a look. I got back on the scale and he looked and he agreed with me on what it was reading. Are you ready for this.........I screamed Holy Cats!!! I just could not believe my eyes and I was just in awe. Ok I will quit dragging it out. I lost 3 more pounds!!! YES 3!!!

SOOoooooooooo that put me at .....you ready for this...........197.0!!!!!!!!!! Yep I am under 200!!!!!!! I haven't been under 200 since 2001!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am lost for words!!!!! No wait Holy Cats!!!! { really big smile}
