I Am At Lost For Words.... Updated

It was really busy at work yesterday. I asked mt Boss about the time off in Jan.09 for the half. He came back at me with do you have the time?? I said no It's not my fault that I get canceled all the time. Well he said he will give me the weekend off.{ that is my scheduled weekend anyway}

WHAT!?! Are you kidding me?!?

I started to dry heave.

I am standing there in shock. Just the weekend?? My Boss knows I have been training for this. HE knows, He reads this!!! I was so sick to my stomach. I have to go in and do some stuff there today and fill out my schedule. I am working the holidays to have that time off. :( :(

I have the room!!!

I am paid for the race!!!!

I was back to dry heaving again.

I wanted to go home.

I was so sore form my new training, my glutes are sore, my thighs. HOLY CATS!!!!! That is being nice! I fell asleep when I got home. So I didn't do any training at all yesterday.

I will update later today and find out what I am going to do.
Update
Nothing. I filled out my schedule and I put in to work on the Wednesday before the race. That means if the Boss agrees to it I will be up there Wednesday night. So I will have to change my room dates. And it still comes out cheaper to have the room for the 7 days than for the 5 days. So that's where we are at and I will not know till after Christmas!!!! Oh my... I do not think I can wait that long!!! :(

Jeez, that stinks Rae! I'm no expert, but these things usually have a way of working themselves out in the long run (pardon the pun). So keep to it and you'll find the right solution along with your boss!

Keep up the training regiment! No guts, no glory, right!?!

Sorry to hear about that Rae. Hugging my computer from NY to florida. All I can say is chin up and as Chris says things do have a way of working themselves out. Text me if you'd like. I'll be at work, but I will reply.

Hang in there. I bet once people start wanting the holidays off and you are volunteering to work them, he'll be willing to give you more days when you need them.

*crossing my fingers* Hope everything works out for ya Rae. It won't be the same experience without our fearless leader there to guide us through the days leading up to and following the race.

Ugh! I can't imagine the empty pit I'd feel in my stomach if something put my marathon in jeopardy!

I hope it works out for you.

BTW, thanks for visiting my blog! I'm gonna link to you from there.
