Change is Coming

Well the tittle is right. And as I get more information I will spill the beans. Hint {It has to do with my training}
Gym:
pecor:
Time: 30 minutes
program: variety
HR: Av.140 max 147
{i up the levels to get the HR up}
Miles 2.09
Cal. 244
I will be going to be putting in miles today. I did not get to go out yesterday morning. I woke up with a sore neck. I could not even look to the left for a couple hours. Today much better.
Headed out the door to have a girls day out. I haven't done that in...... well I can't remember.

The last week of this month. Sweet!!! Wanna know what that means?????
We will be half way through the year!! We are half way to the half marathon. Holy Cats!!!
So where are you in training?? What have you learned about yourself on this journey to the race?? What has been the hardest part for you?? Think about it. I will answer the questions a bit later.

You've got us on pins and needles!!

I feel good that I've reached halfway in the miles I can do. The mental part of training has been a lot harder than I thought it would. The best part of the journey is doing this with my Team Voice friends!!

I've learned "never try, never fail"....

Okay, serious part....

Feel a bit behind on the "long run", but know it will come in time (Preferably June so I can whip Jonathan! ;-)). Overall? Feel great since picking up this whole running thing in Feb. Time to buckle down, get in the distance, and improve the overall time...Mike-Speed awaits!

Cool - looking forward to reading all about it.

Man half way through the year already. Been so busy at work and at home I haven't noticed the time flying past.

Where am I at with my training:
Looking forward to my 2nd Juneathon (last years set me on the path of running everyday) I am hoping to get around 190-200 miles in for June - a good platform for the RobinHood half in September. Hoping to see a good turn out from Team Voice on this one (I'm sure we can incorporate it in to this months challenge somehow).

What have I learned about myself:
Even though alot of the time I hate running I'm still able to make myself run 6-7 days a week this also ties into the hardest part. Making a commitment online to all you guys really helps as do the comments posted on my blog.

The best thing I have learned to do - Run as far as you can for as long as you can on every run. You never know what tomorrow will bring.

The hardest part though... not being able to run in the 2009 Half with all the rest of Team Voice.

If you are going to start running more and power walking less I am going to hug my laptop so hard it is going to snap in half!

As for where am I in my training. Well all I wanted to do is finish the half in Jan. Now after running one in Buffalo I want to crush my time and try to place! I now know that I can do this. I have learned that the first 1/4 mile was the hardest mile I have had to run when I started this journey. And because of you guys the thought of quiting has never crossed my mind.
