I have to say I am thinking about taking tomorrow off.My thigh muscles are sore today. But if I don't push I won't get better. It will depend on how I feel in the am.
I have stuck to getting up in the morning and eating breakfast early. So far so good. :)

Now I hope I do not run in to a low point.I was in one three weeks ago when I had to do all the traveling to N.Fl. and dealing with family just was the worse.I gain some weight back.8 pounds.I got on the scale today. :( I will work it off.

Hey since none of us are going to be there to see Jonathan ride RNR after the race lets take our picture out front.{I know we will be riding it}. :) I was looking at the 13k map.I was trying to remember if we are going to have to deal with some inclines.I have been training on the random hills so I should do ok.

Miles this week:
E:12.68, w: 3.42
R:22.59,w:0

Total for the month not counting work 81.11!!! I am on the heels of JB!!!!! Watch out!!!!

Train hard,have fun,stay injury free!!!

You know 'we' will be riding it?????

I don't do upside down. :| It scares me. I also don't do drops, like TOT. I do enjoy going through the queue though.

I'm brave enough for The Great Movie Ride. :-)

Kate I remember that you do not like those kind of rides.I was meaning me,E and the rest of my group. :)
I rode the TOT and I am not sure if I can ride that one again.:*
I like the great movie ride!!I was hoping to have a couple pics of us the group from here in front of the TOT and RNR.

No problem. I canstand in front of any ride. Even that Dueling Dragons at Universal. :-)

I like your idea of taking the group photo. Do you think it might help to inspire Jon?

TOT is a must! it's not bad at all. It's like going over a hump backed bridge, just makes your tummy feel funny :-D

Good idea about the picture - get it done before the race though, then we won't look sweaty (or should I say glowing).

A before and after picture will be fun.so what we all will be glowing and stuff. You 2 will be waiting on me to finish but I will.

I hope the pictures do help Jon and they will be for all of us to remember the fun we had.

Thanks for the comment. I currently have '93 Mustang Cobra that's my daily driver. I also have a '66 Shelby GT-350H, a '69 428 Mach 1, a '70 Boss 302. I've been running competitively for 25 years. So far this year I've run 20 races from 5K to half marathon.

Looks like your mileage is really good. Do you do any speedwork?

WOW!!!A Boss!!! My daily driver is a stock 5.0 91 convertible,and we have 90 4 cyl.turbo,besides my 302.I haven't made it to the track yet.I would love too. :)

Speedwork? umm no.How would I do that?? I cross train on the days we are not outside pounding the pavement.

Rae, if you keep up your speed on the runs you will pass my time of 12 minutes miles soon. I'm really feeling like the turtle of the group. ;-)

That is just speed walking /jogging.Not full on running the whole time.

That's even worse though. You can walk faster than I can run. ;-)

Rae,

Here is one link explaining speedwork :
Speed Work
. There are many variations, but it essentially "teaches" you to run faster after you've built up your mileage base. For beginning runners, it can make a HUGE difference in your race times if you do it consistently (weekly).
